Community Library Project
In Oct 2021, we built a free lending library attached to the outside of our garden gate.
Using materials donated by nearby Safiee's Hardware and Brickman's Ace Hardware, we built a community library. Neighbors regularly donate books and keep the library full without our intervention. Since its construction, books have been available every day, rain or shine, even in the snow! We were even featured in the local East Village publication, EV Grieve.

In early 2023, the door was damaged, so we reinforced the door with metal.

In early 2024, the plexiglass was broken:

Today, the library continues to provide free books for our community.
