Volunteer Day - Planting

Early in May, we planted the majority of our spring annual flowers—160 new plants in total! Thanks to 17 combined volunteer hours, beautiful flowers now stretch from front to back. A special thank you to the two volunteers who joined us for the first time! Our garden is now home to various annuals: impatiens, coleus, salvia, and marigolds.

Blooming Report

This month, many of our perennial plants began to bloom. All six of our rose bushes in various colors have come to life. The existing white peonies from last year have returned while we await our new peonies. Our two azaleas potted at the front gate are in full bloom. Our purple and yellow irises have bloomed as well. Our alliums have begun to bloom almost as spectacularly as fireworks.

Live Music Series - May

For our first music day this year, we hosted various outstanding musicians. We even had a moment of poetry from our garden member, Rochelle. The plants and our garden have officially awoken from winter.

Member Plots Planted

Garden members have almost finished filling their plots with herbs and vegetables.

New Garden Rope Lighting

Garden Library Repair

We have had a free lending library outside our garden for the past three years. Recently, the door's plexiglass was damaged. We're happy to report that we have repaired it to help keep the books protected from the weather.
