Welcome from the 11th Street Community Garden

Our garden is unlike most gardens because we are privately owned by a land trust represented by our fellow gardeners. The Manhattan Land Trust is established under the promise that our gardens will remain community spaces forever. While we have a great relationship with the city, we determine the structure behind our garden without their oversight. This gives us the freedom to experiment and grow together in our own way.

We strive to be a place welcoming of all people. We hold events aimed at the community. Our garden is known for live music, but we are always looking to expand. We love working with people of many different backgrounds. We like seeing gardening, carpentry, fundraising, event planning, design, or organizational experience. We also pride ourselves at accepting those motivated to learn, even with no experience.
